Key Dates

Class Members do not need to file a claim to receive a cash payment. Given the expense of issuing payment, only Class Members whose share of the Net Settlement Fund is $10 or more will receive payment. 

• Class Members with existing Merrill Edge retirement accounts will receive payments directly into their retirement accounts. 
• Class Members who no longer maintain their Merrill Edge retirement account will receive payment by check or directly through electronic transfer. 

Class Members who no longer maintain Merrill Edge retirement accounts are strongly encouraged to choose to receive payment as an electronic transfer by submitting an Electronic Payment Request.

The deadline to submit an Electronic Payment Request is March 26, 2027. If the Class Member no longer maintains their Merrill Edge retirement account and does not timely submit an Electronic Payment Request, the payment will be issued by check.

• Remove yourself from the Class.
• You will not be bound by any judgments in this case.
• Give up your right to get any money or benefits that may come from any trial settlement.

Keep your right to sue or continue to sue Merrill on your own about the same legal claims in this lawsuit.

• Tell the Court about why you do or don't like the Settlement.
• In order to object you must file a written objection with the Court, please review the instructions provided on FAQ 12.

You do not need to attend the hearing. If you want your own lawyer to enter an appearance on your behalf, you may hire one at your expense. To appear and speak at the Settlement Hearing, you need to give prior notice to the Court.
